Terrible in actual experience in France

Do not buy this app. I found phrases on 4 pages in the back of a travel guide which was much better than this.

I was excited about this app when I bought it here in the US. However, in practical usage in France over 3 weeks, I found it to be useless. The phrases are too basic, and not usable in actual conversation. Try to mirror what youd say in a taxi, a hotel, or in a restaurant here, and then imagine the same situation in France and youll see what I mean. E.g. Try ordering a typical breakfast youd order using this app, and you will see what I mean.
